Colombian hass avocados coming to Canada

The Great Colombian Hass

We are pleased to announce some very exciting news here at Thomas Fresh! In a few weeks’ time we will be offering the FIRST EVER direct shipment of Colombian Hass Avocados to Canada.

In the last decade, North American consumers have become more interested in avocados. As demand has risen, Colombia has invested into supplying their own tasty avocados to the world. Colombia Hass Avocados hit the market only in the year 2000 and slowly are being introduced into grocery stores within Canada and The United States. The best part – this may drive prices down for avocados in general – chips and guac to celebrate?!

Colombian Hass vs Mexican Hass

Colombian Hass Avocados offer a bolder, creamier taste and are even bigger in size compared to the usual Mexican Hass Avocados that we are used to eating in North America. Colombian avocados are also rumoured to be great for cooking because of their high fat content (good fats only, don’t worry). This is a very exciting time for avocado lovers to try out a new kind of variety and pay less too!
