Green, pear-shaped fruit with a crunchy, mildly sweet flavour. Often compared to the taste of jicama.
COOKING TIPS
Both skin and flesh are edible. If peeling skin, run under water as sap may result. Commonly prepared as a side dish but can be roasted, steamed, boiled or shredded.
